Practicing prepositions

   

              Fendi is sitting on the steps.

        This week we have been studying prepositions.   Here is a little exercise to practice using them and also a good video to help you revise ;

Copy these sentences and underline the preposition:

1) The car is in the garage.

2) The chair is behind the table.

3)Peter was walking beside his friend Tom.

The prepositions in the sentences below are wrong.

Copy the sentences, using a preposition which makes sense.

5) The car drove above the roundabout
The car drove around the roundabout

6) The man fell up the stairs.
The man fell down the stairs

7) The CD is under the CD Player.

The ferry sailed on the sea

9) The car drove inside the bridge.
The car drove over/under the bridge  

10) The mouse crept below the cheese.
The mouse crept towards the cheese 

11) Tom walked between Mary.
Tom walked beside Mary

12) The ghost was beneath the house
The ghost was in the house
